Our KAL is in the end. I’m very happy that many people have enjoyed and that have writing to take your doubts. I hope I have helped everyone.

By my heart, I hope that everyone had liked to make the shawl. I liked so much each one of visits and questions that you did here on the blog.

But let’s  go to what is important: the last clue of Niemeyer. I know that have people who is making the size Mini, and the Little and other different sizes. To be easiest to everyone I’ll split the post in 3 parts.

After finished the ending lace, work as follow:

Size Mini

Preparation for the shortened rows:

Pick up and knit 121 stitches on the side where you slip the stitches. You will have 122 stitches. One is the last stitches of the BO.

Shortened rows:

Row 1: k71 and turn

Row 2: p21 and turn

Row 3: 20m, ssk, k2 and turn

Row 4: p22, p2tog, p2, and turn

Row 5: k24, ssk, k2, and turn

Row 6: p26, p2tog, p2,and turn

Row 7: k28, ssk, k2, and turn

Row 8: p30, p2tog, p2,and turn

Row 9: k32, ssk, k2, and turn

Row 10: p34, p2tog, p2,and turn

Other sizes

If you make more or less repetitions of chart 2 than indicated in both patterns, I created a formula to you adapt for you shawl. Take note: if you shawl had more repetitions you will need more yarn to complete the shortened rows.

The knitting work should be done as follow:

Pick up the stitches of the side of the lacing end.

Count how many stitches you picked up. We need a even number of stitches. This number we’ll call X.

Apply the formula below:

(X/2)= Y+4 = N

X = number of stitches picked up

Y = half of number of stitches picked up

N = total stitches to be worked

Work as follow:

Row 1: N (number obtained from its formula) and turn

Row 2: p9 and turn

(2nd and other careers as revenue in the size Little)

Until you get to the last picked up stitch raised.

Bind off.
